La revista incluirá trabajos que aporten conocimiento en la gestión cultural en su sentido más amplio, tanto sobre el patrimonio, como sobre los museos, el turismo, las artes escénicas, la etnología, las TIC aplicadas a la gestión u otros aspectos culturales. La revista permitirá difundir en abierto las investigaciones que se están desarrollando tanto por docentes como por profesionales en la gestión cultural, o trabajos de investigación de doctorandos o magister.

- PublicationLa cultura en la época del capitalismo cultural. Tendencias y controversias(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2014-10-31T10:08:36Z) Llopis Goig, Ramon[EN] This article offers a reflection on the way in which the evolution of capitalism towards a cultural capitalism phase is propitiating the emergence of a new regime of production and reception of cultural products. To approach this task it is examined one of the most clearly observable trends in the evolution that western societies have experienced in the past decades, that is, the transformation of the market in the general pattern of the social activities and the entrance of capitalist patterns in the cultural sphere. The article finishes with a critical analysis of the most frequently consequences attributed to the evolution of capitalism in the cultural domain: the degradation of the high culture and the homogenization and the weakening of the local traditions.

La construcción histórica de la Feria de Julio de Valencia(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2014-10-31T10:08:40Z) Hernández i Martí, Gil-Manuel; Ministerio de Ciencia e Innovación[EN] In the present article it is tried to show as the holidays they are social historical constructions, which mutations are inseparable both of the diverse political contexts and of the institutional action. This one is the case of Julio's Fair of Valencia, founded in in 1871 under the requiriments of bourgeois taste. In our work we show, resting on historical documentation of press and file, the diverse stages of the evolution of the Fair, insisting in since there is modified his cultural institutional management. So if at firdt period of euphoria and ascent, the Feria de Valencia managed to become one of the most important festive events in Valencia, taking on a distinctly popular caracter, then the thrust of other festivals and the change in the preferences of the public would go plunging it in a progressive decline that did nothing but increase during the second half of the twentieth century, which forced the fair to a slow reestablishment according to the new demands of modern society of leisure.
- PublicationLa problemática del patrimonio cultural inmaterial(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2014-10-31T10:08:43Z) Bortolotto, Chiara[EN] This article considers the establishment of the category of ICH within the United Nations Organization for Education, Science and Culture (UNESCO) and examines the key principles of the international Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage that institutes this heritage category at the global level. Drawing on anthropological analyses of theoretical conundrums and practical hitches associated with the implementation of the UNESCO Convention at both the institutional and the community levels, the article critically assesses the concept of ICH and reflexively considers the different modes of anthropological engagement with this field.

Nevertheless, it turns out necessary to do an analysis on the application that of the regulations of international range is realized for a certain territory. With this aim, the present work has been structured to outline those points of agreement and of distance that can find in a comparison that takes as links of facing the last directives established by the UNESCO, specially theConvention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage, and that one that remains gathered in successive laws of cultural valencian heritage published inside the Comunitat Valenciana.The above mentioned study has made clear the quantity of weak points for lack ofapractical applicationthat exist in those four points governing that stable the UNESCO as for the management of the notable heritage. The Safeguard, Respect, Awarenessand Help, in spite of being had in account along the legislative texts of the territory in question do not manageto reach a relevant efficiency for different reasons
- PublicationParadigma actual de los festivales flamencos, desde la perspectiva de la Gestión Cultural(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2014-10-31T10:08:52Z) Lozano Jiménez, Juan Simón[EN] Current paradigm of flamenco festivals, from the perspective of cultural management is the result of the project to Joint Masters in Cultural Management at the Polytechnic University of Valencia, University of Valencia. This study discusses the current models of cultural management have to flamenco festivals in Spain, on the assumption of many flamenco, which indicated that the flamenco festivals need a reformulation. The study empirically test besides experts what they thought, through on-line surveys to the managers of these festivals, we have provided new data that management, through economic, political and quality, human resources, social media, intellectual property and other efforts. - PublicationUna mirada conjugada en la gestión cultural estadounidense: tendencias actuales(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2015-06-01) Dinapoli Algarra, Jodie[EN] As The United States experiences a decline in audience participation in the arts, current arts institutions and organizations emphasize on how to build new audiences and reflect on their impact and the reach they have beyond their physical walls. This impact is aimed at human development, urban revitalization, social wellbeing and at the active creation of culture. Aligned with this mission and vision are activities and programs taking place in untraditional venues, expanding social cooperation, shifting the institutional focus towards creativity, aiming at critical dialog, building meaningful cultural participation and challenging the internal landscape of the organization and its processes to better serve constituents and their environment. This paper will examine this trend through specific cases of visual art institutions and analyze common concepts that come into play such as public value and social cooperation. This text will also bring a historical context and touch upon de public perception of these trends and the relation with the American nonprofit field and its unique funding model.
- PublicationLa Gestión Cultural en las Sociedades Musicales de la Comunidad Valenciana(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2015-06-01) Gómez Asensio, Daniel[EN] The Musical Societies are the cultural agent that produces most musical events in Valencia, gathering around them the vast majorities of local amateur musicians, who are the main supportthatconforms them and at the same time leads its management.Its rise and proliferation hasled to the growth and complexity of their structures, making it increasingly difficult operation with management based on volunteerism.In this study we analyzed each of the areas of Music Societies from the perspective of its managersin charge, aware of its management,and its musicians,who are aware of the real effects of it.Thus checking to what extent each structural framework needs an increasinglydedicated and expert figure, we also show to the Musical Societies some operating possibilitiesat their fingertipsand finally we enable a self-analysis that objectively will assess the advantages ofprofessionalism in management

In the business world is very common to study buying patterns of individuals or social groups in order to meet the needs of these or find a new way of business. In the artistic and cultural field, these practices have been rare considering culture as an asset that must not be subjected to market guidelines. However, due to high cultural and diversification of communication channels, it becomes increasingly difficult to maintain a loyal audience and on the other hand, learn about new ways in which this society wants to consume is now possible. Through the data we collect in every transaction or interaction with our audience valuable information that tells us how we should relate to our audience. Necessary to achieve a more economic independence (a better audience buying more tickets)and to be relevant and pertinent to the cultural public task.

In recent years, Western museums and Institutions have been connected with social networks for getting more diffusion. But in Asia, the implementation of these social networks, due to the political, economic and social requirements, Asia has their own social networks, in the interest for increasing the social branch between its inhabitants and museum institutions as same as the European Museum and Institutions. The following work aims to conduct an analytical study of the impact of the major museums in Asia. Also, what is intended with this analysis is try to discover the influence that these museums have through the same social networks that differ between museums and countries

Estudi de l'activitat cultural de les falles d'Alzira(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2015-11-16) Fluixà Pelufo, Alba[EN] The objective of this study has been to investigatethe cultural activities of Alzira's Falles committees, its typology and management and also to analyse its potential as cultural agents. A combination of quantitative research (survey with closed answer questions) and qualitative research (personal in depth interviews) has been used. This methodology has allowed us to obtain, on the one hand, objective information that can be translated into statistics and graphics that, for the first time, analyse all the aspects of this phenomenon and, on the other hand, unprecedented information about the motivations, work process and difficulties of those who have carried it out.

- PublicationPropuesta de un modelo de comunicación para proyectos culturales a través de gabinetes de prensa(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2016-05-25) García Torres, María[EN] Whether out of ignorance or out of the lack of funds, communication is an areathat isoften overlooked when starting a cultural project. However, the dissemination of the project through the media can be keyfor its survival due to the fact that cultural journalists act as prescribers, encouragingtheconsumption in the intermediate future of the leisure and cultural products they are reporting about. The following paperanalyzes the context of the media and the specificity of cultural journalism. It also presents my own modelfor developingpress offices that specialize press in culture, detailing the work tools needed and on how to use them. This article is based onbibliographic documentation and also on the author’s experience as a journalist and a communication professional. It is for it that the declaration like immaterial BIC has contemplated many of the festivities most known about our Comunitat Valenciana, such as “Las Hogueras de San Juan, “Las Fallas”, “La Cabalgata de los Reyes Magos de Alcoy, increasing the visit tourist after his declaration with the maximum protection.
