- PublicationMás allá del museo. Nuevos escenarios para la exposición(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2018-07-31) Ibáñez Giménez, Maite[EN] Exhibition's stage has become a changing exercise over time, linked to a way of thinking historically the work. There are new museographic responses born of the participation of artists, architects and designers, and the role of the curator who, at times, transforms his role as theoretician in artist. Following this evolutionary dynamic, the exhibition has thus forged an almost independent identity of the museum itself. The meaning of the work in the place develops a new grammar that turns the exhibition into a work of art and also opens a debate around its current role
- PublicationMás vaqueros que indios. La imparable creación de museos en España(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2018-07-31) Aguirre, Jimena[EN] More than 130 museums have opened their doors in Spain from 2007 to 2017. Más vaqueros que indios. La imparable creación de museos en España [More cowboys than indians. The unstoppable creation of museums in Spain] is an opinion article that studies this unique phenomenon, a rare case in Europe. On the one hand, we review the inauguration of numerous cultural institutions in little villages. On the other hand, we study the opening of contemporary museums in the main cities, their buildings (signed by wellknown architects) and their museology. A balance to weigh up the pros and cons that lead to an optimistic conclusion: the museum industry has been consolidated and it aims to reach all types of publics, but it needs to be managed by honest professionals.

- PublicationMerchandising en museos: ¿educación, cultura o simple negocio?(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2018-07-31) Ampuero Canellas, Olga; Tarazona Belenguer, Nereida; González del Rio Cogorno, Jimena; Jordá Albiñana, María Begoña; Dpto. de Ingeniería Gráfica; Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingeniería del Diseño; Centro de Investigación en Tecnologías Gráficas[EN] Currently, the merchandising of a museum is a good financing way but in its management should not be missed the educational and cultural purpose that defines these institutions. In fact, an adequate treatment of these products and the store can turn them into an extension of the exhibition space and transmitters of knowledge, art and culture. To achieve this, some strategies are proposed such as personalization, the choice of quality products, packaging care and the incorporation of key content. All this will position the museum as a culture diffusing entity and will move it away from mere commercial business.
- PublicationLos museos sin territorio. Una tipología de museo sin edificio(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2018-07-31) Cerrolaza Calvo, Silvia[EN] Museums have been reconsidered and criticised from artworks themselves and from instituting practice, questioning their role and positing other types of creations or interventions as museums. Some of the new museum typologies are in the limits between which is regarded as a museum and which is not. They are useful for suggesting how museums could become in the future. Museums that may occur in broader territories, museums that may be both material and inmaterial, mobile or nomad museums, ephemeral or temporary museums, museums that do not require large infrastructures nor astounding buildings to fulfil their duties.

- Publication¿Por qué no entiendo nada de arte? Origen y estado actual de la educación artística(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2018-07-31) Puig Mir, Isabel[EN] Education is linked to the museum institution, when public interest begins to become a reality. From the timid first attempts to bring culture closer to the world, through an embryonic stage, with the creation of the first departments of education in museums, art education reaches the age of majority in our days, when it has the ability to generate self-criticism. However, there are many barriers that this discipline finds on the path to maturity and professionalism, in the hands of professionals, institutions and users, is the future of artistic education.

- PublicationWork in progress. Imagen gráfica para exposiciones(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2018-07-31) Ramón, Ibán[EN] Since 2001 that he founded his own studio, up to the present, Iban Ramón has carried out quite a number of projects related to exhibition graphics, for organisations both public and private. In the present text he shows his gratitude to his teachers, among them Manuel Granell and Paco Bascuñán. He details his work method, which, to use his own words, aims at generating a visual identity, encouraging the communication and promotion during the period of exhibition, and to allow the exhibition to stay as a brand, which holds the memories of the exhibition afterwards.
