    [EN] In Montreuil, located northeast of the urban center of Paris, a master plan has in recent years been realized for the regeneration of the urban center by Alvaro Siza. The project, with the theater at its heart, shows the hill of the site: the buildings like the fi ngers of a hand reveal the slope and increase the perspectives.

    [EN] Teachers were parking in the front garden. The school, which advocates the Italian rationalism concept of the 1950s, featured a front canopy in the style one would fi nd at a hotel built in Barcelonaduringthe 1970s. The ground fl oor chapel had been turned into an additional classroom which was named ‘Bimbo’ after the company that had defrayed the reform. The main lecture hall was located on the third fl oor. An improvised kitchen was located in the old library which diners had been opening up in order to provide proper academic spaces.

    [EN] Literature in Graz. This relationship has existed for decades and has not only given the city a reputation as a centre of committed literary activity in Austria but has regularly been addressed and discussed at a socio-political level. The bizarre encounter of local down-to-earth quality and avant-garde literature in a city whose image of itself is to a considerable extent derived from its southern location, strongly oriented towards northern Italy, continues to bear fruit and in 2000 led to the municipal administration setting up a competition for a Literaturhaus (House of Literature) beside the existing “Kulturhaus” in a 19th century palace.

    [EN] The police HQ programme is comprised essentially of [the construction] of offi ces featuring a common area with lobby, Passport/I.D. issuance offi ce and complaints room; also features parking facilities for police vehicles, safety zone and changing rooms and accommodation for the Chief of Police.The building will be constructed in line with the solar perimeter, although the main exterior will require an additional fi ve metres in order to enable access via a sidewalk that is currently too narrow. The cantilever projection located above the entrance marks the boundary of the available space.
