- PublicationFallas de Valencia: un producto cultural multidisciplinar(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2018-12-14) Collado Belda, Enrique[EN] La Falla, a World Heritage Site, is an artistic work that is part of ephemeral art. Possibly this is the most common perception, but there may be other visions that have been little studied and that contribute new or unknown aspects about it. Starting from the basis of the author's doctoral thesis, which analyzes the communicative aspect, and, resorting to simple observation, interviewing and bibliographic review as fundamental methodological tools, La Falla is analyzed as a cultural product derived from the fusion of the various disciplines that intervene in their production, such as, for example, sociology, art or communication. The analysis carried out allows to show the conceptual richness that integrates the word Falla and the wide field of possibilities of study that offers.
- PublicationComunicación y cultura en la era digital: la estrategia de los escenarios españoles(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2018-12-14) Tineo Carrión, Lydia[EN] Communication has traditionally taken a back seat within cultural management action points. Nowadays, technological and social evolution towards 2.0 websites, as well as a wide range of incoming tools, both reinvent the existing dissemination channels and make it possible to have an effective dialogue between the organizations and the audience. Considering numerous studies already tackle this issue, referred to areas such as museums and patrimony, this work focuses the interest in new spaces: Spanish theatres, starting the diagnosis of their digital presence and the social approach they represent. This pioneering analysis of the online behavior of a broad representative selection led to conclusions that invite theoretical and professional reflection about the real use of ICT in cultural environments, making it easier to understand this process, by revealing several of their current weaknesses and determining strategic directions for sector institutions.
- PublicationDiplomacia cultural: aproximación al concepto, y apuntes sobre el modelo de diplomacia cultural en España(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2018-12-14) Menéndez Reyes, Mª Eugenia[EN] The goal of this essay is to draw a concept for Cultural Diplomacy from three points of view: public diplomacy, actors and goals, and the connection between diplomacy and culture. Once we have reached an agreement about the concept, we examine the Spanish model of Cultural Diplomacy. We start from some practical examples to analyze ideas given by different authors about this subject. The main conclusion is a concept of cultural diplomacy as a type of diplomacy where the cultural instruments are used to achieve the diplomatic goals. That is why it is essential to clarify the political messages to be disseminated, which is, maybe, the main flaw of the Spanish model.
- PublicationLos principales retos de las instituciones culturales con la comunicación online en la revolución 2.0(Universitat Politècnica de València, 2018-12-14) Chic Pujol, Laia[EN] Having a greater presence and good communication in the digital world has become a transcendental point for cultural institutions. Despite attempts to improve this relationship, many Spanish museums still do not understand issues such as: the value that this kind of communication can offer the entity, the type of relationship has to be established with digital users and the long-term benefits that it can generate, among other aspects. In this article, it is intended to give visibility to the main challenges that cultural organizations must face regarding the management of their social networks, showing proposals that have been carried out from some institutions that have not hesitated to participate in the 2.0 revolution.
- PublicationEspacios culturales y territorio. [EN] The purpose of the text presented is to propose a methodological proposal to create a link between museums and territory based on citizen participation. This method has been developed and successfully experimented as part of a research within the Doctoral Program in Education of the University of Murcia, in the context of the Museum of Fine Arts of Murcia and its surrounding environment. As a conclusion to the results obtained, the adaptation of this participatory method to another context of the city is proposed: the neighborhood of El Carmen and the Museum of the University of Murcia, where different information collection techniques will be used, such as the quantitative questionnaire, the semi-structured interview and the discussion group.
